Action Words

Using active, positive words in a CV or in an application form can give it additional impact and make a stronger impression on potential employers. Use action words to put over what you have achieved in vacation jobs or posts of responsibility - not just the tasks you have carried out.

Below are some action words that will help boost your CV. Do not aim to use all them, but use them where appropriate i.e. where a simple, boring sentence could benefit from being lightened up with any of the action words.
